Thoughts on the Tucson Massacre Aftermath

I really hope that President Obama refrains from turning the mass murder in Tucson into a political issue when he speaks tonight. So far, he has taken the high road in his comments regarding the tragic events that took place Saturday. I was pleased with that.

I am not pleased with the almost instantaneous blame game undertaken by the Progressives. Everyone was blamed for the incident; Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Sarah Palin, Mark Levin, Fox News, and the list goes on. Starting with the completely unprofessional attempt by the Pima County Sherriff to cast blame on Conservative discourse, the accusations where slung out from the Progressives like leaves in a hurricane.

I and my family are praying for all the victim’s of the tragedy and their families.

We are also praying that the left-wing extremists don’t take this opportunity to stifle free speech and responsible gun ownership in this great land.

The care of the seriously mentally ill is deficient in this country. What should be addressed instead of free speech and gun ownership is the proper care and restraint of the seriously mentally ill so they cannot do harm to themselves or others.
