In another assault on retirees, this time our military men and women and their spouses, Obama and his goons are leveling their guns at the TRICARE program for military health care. This article in the Washington Free Beacon sums up nicely what our government officials have in mind for our dedicated service members, now and as they age.

Romney is Not the Candidate Yet

Posted on February 5, 2012. Filed under: National | Tags: , , , , |

After Romney’s victory in Nevada last night the network talking heads again declared him the Republican candidate. At present he has a total of 97 delegates, he needs a minimum of 1144 to cinch the nomination. Five states have made their decisions. Lets do the math. Forty-five states still have to pick their nominee. Romney still needs a minimum of 1047 additional delegates. The fat lady has not sung yet.

In the good old boys manner of running the Republican party, its Romney’s turn to be president. He has played the game, running against other good old boys in previous primaries, working his way to the head of the line. In the view of Republican powers that be, we voters should get with the program and make it happen.

They say Romney is the “only one” who can beat Obama. I disagree. Romney-care takes Obama-care off the table in the general election. That God-awful monstrosity that energized and inspired so many of us to find our voice will be a non-issue in a Romney vs. Obama race.

Romney is such a liberal Republican that he would be hard pressed to roll back all the additional regulations imposed by the Obama regime, cut spending, and curb our growing national dept. He approves of Obama-care and would not help in any effort to achieve its repeal. In fact, I’ll say right now that if we achieved the majorities needed to pass a repeal measure; Romney would veto it.

However, the primaries are not over yet, no matter what the political commentators would have us believe. Forty-five states still have the chance to let their wishes be known and Romney still needs to gather in those remaining 1047 delegates.
